Mein Herz schl\u00e4gt f\u00fcr Sprache(n) in all ihren Facetten.<\/h1>\n

Zweisprachig mit Deutsch und Schwedisch aufgewachsen, kam ich schon als Kind w\u00e4hrend eines USA Aufenthaltes mit Englisch in Ber\u00fchrung. Etliche Ferien in den USA und ein einj\u00e4hriger High School Besuch lie\u00dfen mich die englische Sprache noch genauer kennenlernen und sicherer anwenden.<\/p>\n

Von 2000-2005 studierte ich an der Universiteit Leiden in den Niederlanden Anglistik und schrieb leidenschaftlich gern und mit sprachlichen Bestnoten alle erforderlichen \u201cessays\u201d.<\/p>\n

Zuvor hatte mich die Ausbildung zur Goldschmiedin an der Vakschool Schoonhoven in die Niederlande gebracht. Nach geplanten vier Jahren Ausbildung f\u00fchlte ich mich dort bereits so heimisch, dass ich weitere 10 Jahre blieb. Dieser langj\u00e4hrige Aufenthalt hat mich auch mit dem Niederl\u00e4ndischen bis in die Tiefen vertraut werden lassen.<\/p>\n

Nichts weniger als ein kultureller Kosmos<\/strong> hat sich mir mit jeder weiteren Sprache er\u00f6ffnet: Mentalit\u00e4ten, Sichtweisen, Traditionen, Literatur und Film.<\/p>\n

Aus einem so reichhaltigen Fundus sch\u00f6pfen zu k\u00f6nnen, ist eine gro\u00dfe Freude und Inspiration, die ich mit Dankbarkeit genie\u00dfe.<\/strong><\/h6>\n

Schwedisch<\/strong>, das dem Norwegischen<\/strong> und D\u00e4nischen<\/strong> sehr \u00e4hnelt, erlaubt es mir, in die Gedankenwelt der skandinavischen<\/strong> Nachbarn einzutauchen. Niederl\u00e4ndisch<\/strong> wiederum wird nicht nur in den Niederlanden gesprochen. Da ist auch das wunderbar schmeichelnde Fl\u00e4misch<\/strong> der Flamen und ihre ganz eigene Mentalit\u00e4t und Lebenseinstellung. Englisch<\/strong>, diese so gern und h\u00e4ufig untersch\u00e4tzte Sprache, f\u00fchrt einen in all ihren Varianten einmal um den Globus. Und auch was Deutsch angeht:<\/p>\n

Ich liebe nichts so sehr wie regionale Wortsch\u00f6pfungen und Dialekte, ob nun von deutscher, \u00f6sterreichischer oder schweizerischer Machart.<\/h6>\n

Jede Sprache hat eine eigene Pers\u00f6nlichkeit. Daher erlaubt sie es auch mir, der kundigen Sprecherin, eine andere Facette der mir<\/em> eigenen Pers\u00f6nlichkeit herauszustellen. Ich f\u00fchle mich in jeder Sprache ein wenig anders, denke ein wenig anders, pr\u00e4sentiere mich vielleicht auch ein wenig anders. Genau diese Eigenheiten sind es, die es auch in einer \u00dcbersetzung hervorzuheben gilt.<\/p>\n

Mit dem mir eigenen Sprachgef\u00fchl und meinem landeskundlichen Erfahrungsschatz \u00fcberbr\u00fccke ich als \u00dcbersetzerin die kulturellen Unterschiede zwischen L\u00e4ndern und deren Sprachen.<\/p>\n
